Register a Radiation Station

Contribute real-time data to the global monitoring network

How It Works

NukeMonitor accepts radiation readings from community-owned Geiger counters worldwide. By registering your station, you contribute to a decentralized, transparent radiation monitoring network.

1

Register Your Station

Provide device details, location, and calibration info

2

Get API Credentials

Receive public and private keys for secure submissions

3

Configure Your Device

Point your Geiger counter to our HTTPS API endpoint

4

Start Monitoring

Your data appears on the global map in real-time

Supported Devices

We support any Geiger counter that can submit data via HTTP/HTTPS:

  • Commercial models — GQ Electronics, Bosean, S.E. International, etc.
  • DIY setups — Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32 with internet connectivity
  • Mobile apps — Manual uploads from smartphone sensors
  • MQTT bridges — Forward readings from local networks
  • Other APIs — Forward data from third-party or custom systems
Security & Authentication

All submissions are authenticated using HMAC-SHA256 signatures. Your private key is never sent to the server and never stored online.

Why signatures? We can verify your identity without exposing credentials, and your device can verify that only your station submits data under your station ID.

Requirements
  • Internet connectivity: WiFi, Ethernet, or cellular that can reach nukemonitor.com
  • Accurate calibration: Annual calibration per manufacturer specs is expected
  • Regular submissions: Readings should be submitted at consistent intervals (typically every 5-10 minutes)
  • Data quality agreement: You accept that readings are published under CC0 public domain
